Programmes

Conventional Research Postgraduate Programmes

The University offers Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and 3-year and 4-year Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes. The programmes focus on research work and the award of the degree mainly depends on the assessment of the thesis. Candidates will conduct research work under the supervision of at least one member of the University’s teaching staff. In addition to the long-established one-to-one mentorship system of supervision, a coursework component has been introduced that aims to provide research training to assist the MPhil and 4-year PhD students to complete their studies within their study period.
