The Interdisciplinary Research Competition (IRC) 2019 is jointly organized by the Graduate House, Postgraduate Student Association and the Graduate School. The competition aims to promote interdisciplinary research amongst postgraduate students.
Eligibility:
All postgraduate students of HKU, including taught and research postgraduates, are eligible to join the competition. They should form groups, each consisting of 3-5 students from two or more than two different departments.
Application Procedure:
Each group should submit one A4-page with details of their interdisciplinary research ideas, together with the completed application form (available at http://www.pgsa.hku.hk/download) to gradhse@hku.hk on or before March 11, 2019 (Monday), 10:00 am.
Competition Format:
Each group selected to enter the competition will give a 5-minute presentation, followed by a 10-minute question-and-answer session with the judges.

Prizes:
Champion: HKD 5,000
First Runner-up: HKD 3,000
Second Runner-up: HKD 2,000
Each group entering the competition will receive a certification of recognition.
