You are cordially invited to join us online for the HKU Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition 2020.

The 3MT was developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia in 2008. This is an academic competition that challenges RPg students to explain their research within 3 minutes to a general audience. It also celebrates the discoveries made by research students and encourages skill development in communicating the importance of research to the broader community.

HKU 3MT Competition is an annual event jointly organised by the Graduate School and the Knowledge Exchange Office (KEO) for the final-year research postgraduate (RPg) students.  This year, the Competition is also open to the final-year professional doctorate (PD) students.

Date of Briefing Session: November 28, 2019 (Thursday) (Cancelled)
Time: 12nn to 1pm

TWO-STEP REGISTRATION

For registration to enter the HKU 3MT Competition, the following TWO steps must be completed:

[1] Preliminary registration using the HKU Event Management System (EMS):
https://hkuems1.hku.hk/hkuems/ec_hdetail.aspx?ueid=68071 (HKU Portal login required)

EMS Registration Deadline: 5pm on January 23, 2020 (NO late registrations will be accepted.)

[2] Each registrant must submit his/her primary supervisor’s completed endorsement form (downloadable at https://www.ke.hku.hk/hku3mt/docs/3MT_Form.pdf) to KEO by January 30, 2020 to complete the registration process.
